500 g (18 oz) stawberries
150 g (2/3 cup) sugar
1 lemon
5 fresh basil leaves

Basil-Strawberry Sorbet
Juice the lemon and put the juice in a blender. Add the cleaned strawberries and the sugar. Blend until smooth. Wash and finely cut the basil leaves, and add them to the mix. Pour in the ice-cream maker, and voila!
This recipe works best with fresh and ripe strawberries; the basil leaves add a subtle flavour mostly re-inforces the fruit flavour, like vanilla does for chocolate.
