The Chinese Kim Moon Bakery bakes many
kinds of buns,
as well as
many kinds of
sponge cakes, and some "sandwiches,"
which are in fact
rolls made of a
thin crust and a very generous amount of
either green
bean,
read bean,
coconut or lotus paste filling. The same
fillings can be found
in
round baked "crisps", with more crust
around them. The
lotus paste
flavour is nice and subtle.

My current fave dim sum in downtown TO. You have to walk to the back, past the long bakery counter to find the dim sum area. Once you are there - check out the dumb waiter that delivers the delicious dumplings and other delights. Plump yummy har gow, excellent chung fun and a decent variety of steamed dumplings. I'm heading back right now!
