Rahier makes
delicious
mousses, croissants, tarts, eclairs,
gateaux,
lovely cookies called Petits
fours
(little mouths)... Many cakes are available
in
individual size and family size, and all look
like art works. On top of
the
French favorites like Opera,
Gateau
basque or tarte Tatin,
Rahier has created many of
his own
cakes and named them after French
authors. The Bossuet, for example, is
composed of a thin cake base supporting a
heart of citrus crme brlee
hidden in a
forest berries mousse, glazed with a
raspberry coulis surrounded by thin white
chocolate wafers, and topped with fresh
field
berries; the art of French pastry at its
finest, right here in Toronto.
Our
recommendation: go to Rahier for
breakfast on a
week-end, get a croissant and a couple
pastries --
you will go back!
