A recent addition to Toronto's ice-cream
scene, Dolce Gelato has become one of the
top destinations for home-made gelato - or
Italian ice-cream. 30 to 40 flavours, made from fresh ingredients, are on
display - regular gelato, sorbettos (no
cream), frozen yoghurt, and a few sugar-
free gelatos.
Gelato flavours are sharp, and the
mouthfeel is soft and creamy, as it should
be. Special flavours include French vanilla-Cappuccino, or candied pistachio. The dulce de leche flavour, with ribbons
of caramel, was delightful.
Sorbetto fruit flavours are that of the real
fruit - pear, mango, grapefruit sorbets taste
exactly right and are surprisingly smooth for
fat-free products.
Dolce Gelato also serves Italian coffee,
Italian desserts, waffles, crepes and ice-
cream cakes.
Dolce Gelato has another shop at 697
College Street, in Little Italy.
The YummyBaguette website is in no way affiliated with Dolce Gelato in Toronto, but don't
hesitate to let the owners know how you found them!
