Patisserie Sebastien is a traditional French bakery and pastry shop, offering
many kinds of bread, sandwiches,
quiches, morning pastries, and French-style
pastries. Everything is first-rate. The hard to find choux a la creme (cream
puffs) have a very pleasing vanilla custard filling. Our favourite
was the brioche-crust apricot tart, a very nice
variation on regular tarts: a base of brioche, a
layer of custard, the fruit, and a think layer of
glazing; possibly available only at
Sebastien in Toronto.
Quiches and morning pastries (croissants, chocolate croissants, danishes)
are also very good.
