Nadege is one of the best, and quite
possibly the best, pastry shop in Toronto.
The
specialty is the finest French pastries - don't
miss for example the Marie Antoinette, a
pyramid of creme legere and pana cotta,
covered with the tiniest macarons - it tastes
just as fabulous as it looks. The Ayutthaya
is a French-style Thai dessert, associating
the tastes and textures of coconut, mango
and passion fruit. Our only regret is that
the labels don't describe the cakes, you will
have to ask the staff for details every
time.
Nadege has a selection of macarons - about
10 different flavours are available at any
time - to name just one: mojito. Here
again, they are some of the best available
in
the city. One recently added item is the
petits choux (small cream
puffs) available in vanilla and
chocolate, but also strawberry, black currant
or lemon.
The morning pastries section is delicious
and exceptionally well stocked - on top of
the
traditional croissants and pains au chocolat,
pear-chocolate danishes, pumpkin
croissants, and many more seasonal
varieties can be spotted. Nadege is the
destination
for some of the finest desserts in Toronto.
Nadege also has a take-out only
store at 1099 Yonge, a few blocks North of
Rosedale subway station.

Not much taste, not much texture for that much $$, will never go back again to waste my time and money.
