Petit Four is a welcome addition to the downtown
dessertscape, otherwise rather barren. The
highlight here is a series of mini-parfaits
(desserts in a glass), sold $2 each, that
associate various tastes and textures in every
bite: sample parfaits are pecan banana caramel,
coconut kaffir lime or tiramisu. A single one is a
little small, so count 2-3 parfaits for a
nice-size dessert, bringing the cost to a more
downtown-like $6.
Petit Four also sells a variety of fresh
sandwiches on their own foccacia or ciabatta
bread, as well as soups (think lentil curry or
tomato fennel) and more traditional salads.
Seating is available in the adjacent Commerce
Court food court.
Uncharacteristically for downtown, and for the
underground Path, Petit Four is open until 9pm,
making the store one of the only options for
buying good desserts in the evening downtown.

I just picked up a soup for lunch, it was cold, they had them sitting out on the counter, for faster service. that's not working!
From: Upset Customer
While the food is pretty good, their customer service is quite horrible. When I complained to their cashier that I was given the wrong change, the cashier was less than apologetic and could not "remember" what I had given her even though I was only there less than 2 minutes before. I went and tried to get the correct change back and the did not exactly tried to mitigate the situation properly but rather treated me like some lower class. I may not be in a suit like the majority of their target market but it doesn't make me any less worthy of equal treatment. If you want to go to this place for good food, sure but I wouldn't count on a cashier that could do basic math!
