The specialty at the Vegetarian Cottage is: mock meats (made mostly of soy proteins)! If you're vegetarian and feel like a steak, duck, chicken breast, pork sausage, lamb, shrimp, prawns or snow fish, you will find it there! Many dishes include, or are centered around one of these ingredients. Part of the menu is Western-style (mostly Italian) -- try for example the cordon bleu (chicken breast stuffed with ham and cheese, served with fresh vegetables in a white wine and mushroom sauce), and part of the menu is Thai, offering vegetarian varieties of many Thai dishes. The ingredients are very fresh and the food always very tasty! The meat and fish imitations are so well executed that it is sometimes difficult to remember that the food is actually meat-free.
