Grainfield Bakery's specialty is organic, wheat-free or gluten-free breads. Kamut, spelt, rye or barley breads are available. The breads are good, and tend to be tastier than the wheat-only ones. An assortment of delicious cookies, muffins and scones (both wheat-based and wheat-free) is available. Most products on display can be sampled -- a good way to discover these unusual products. Try for example the nice currant-orange scone.

Grainfield's main store is at 682 Denison St., in Markham, but they have a stall in the St Lawrence North Market every Saturday.
