Bangkok Baking Co company offers a small selection of high quality French-style pastries with an American flair. The Mississipi mud cake for example consists of a dense chocolate cake enveloped by a generous layer of chocolate ganache (as good as the Mississipi mud cake may be, half a slice will probably be enough!). On the fruitier side, the raspberry tart is delicious as well; it is in fact made like a raspberry mousse, with a thin layer of hazelnut cake topped with a very generous layer of raspberry mousse, itself topped with fresh raspberries and a hint of glazed orange peels. Other goodies include several kinds of cheesecakes (including a very nice French-style "sour cream tart"), carrot cake, mango tarts and mixed fruit tarts, all available as individual pastries. The selection of morning pastries is wider and also very good, with such rare items as banana or whole-wheat croissants, as well as scones, plain croissants, doughnuts... Fresh French-style breads, quiches, and an assortment of chocolates are also available.

This is a great oasis from the heat, a place to grab a latte, a imported beer, a light lunch, or a breakfast snack. Service is excellent and you are alwasy greeted with a smile. A must for whenever in the Sukhumvit area.
