I have ordered a nice cookie /flower arrangement for Valentine`s day for my boyfriend wich was not delivered on time. During the week I called the store about three times(monday, tuesday, friday) to make sure it would be delivered between 15h30 to 16h00 it was very important to be delivered at that time for the punch. Each time I called, the employe(SAME EMPLOYEE EACH TIME) told me not to worry, that it was guaranteed to be there as scheduled because I called early during the week.
Friday at 16h10, I got to the store because my boyfriend didn`t get his surprise and he had left work. The employee couldn`t verify where the delivery man was.
Finally, 16h25 he called (delivery man) the store to say that he had arrived but nobody was there, so with sadness and madness I gave her another address but the surprise was already ruined.
The monday after I called the store to complain and talked with the supervisor to get a refund for the delivery (8$+ TAXES). The answer I got was that It was impossible that the employee guaranteed such a delivery, and it`s not true, so I`m a liar........and do you want more to prove that you don`t care about your customers,
he hanged up the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CONGRADULATIONS!!!!
BECAUSE MY PRIMARY LANGUAGE IS FRENCH, I CAN`T DESCRIBE ALL MY FRUSTRATIONS ABOUT THIS SUPERVISOR WHO INSULTED ME, FOR ME A SUPERVISOR OF A STORE IS A RESOURCE PERSON WHO SHOULD SATISFY HIS CLIENTS ( A CLIENT GIVES YOU MONEY AND THIS SUPERVISOR TOO)

I hope that this letter will make a difference for the customers, for me your products are of high class and the rest should be too.

I went to the Felix & Norton store in Faubourg Ste-Catherine (Montreal) today. When I arrived, the clerk was cleaning his bare toes with his fingers. 30 seconds later, he noticed I was there and quietly stood up. Without washing his hands, he gave me the cookies I asked for. The only thing separating his dirty, stinky, germ-filled fingers from the food was this super-thin piece of paper.
I paid and left. He did not speak one word to me for all the transaction. No greetings, no thank yous...nothing. The time was around 5 pm on Saturday September 20th 2003.
Usually, the quality of the service is way better than that. And by the way, those cookies tasted like yesterday's batch.

Their cookies are amazing and my experience with Felix Norton Eaton Center (416)595-5379 was very satisfying and their deliveries have been very reliable based on my experience in the past two years. I live in Mississauga and I have been using their delivery service and they are very reliable and on time. If you live in the suburbs of GTA you can contact them for delivery and the rate is very reasonable about e.g. I have been paying $10 for each delivery to Mississagua area. Felix and Norton have a web site for GTA area http://www.FreshlyBaked4U.com if you are interested to check out.
Lucy, a happy customer.

I've sent three sets of cookie roses this month to my friends for birthday and get well soon gifts, it is amazing, my friends loved them so much and called me to thank me. Good customer service, I go to Eaton Center location, the cookies there are fresh and delicious and they made the best looking bouquets. If any customers are not sure where to shop, I highly recommend their Eaton Center store, that's their centralized location with felix norton official website. 416-595-5379

To Toronto Eaton Center store manager Helen (416)595-5379:
My husband absolutely loved the cookie bouquet.
Thanks for doing such a good job with my order and for delivering the bouquet so quickly. I was expecting they would be delivered closer to 3… instead he got them in the morning… I was very impressed.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

I have noticed the same thing as some of the other reviewers on this forum, not all Felix and Norton stores are created equally. I have been going to the one at Warden and Highway 7; for over 10 years now; I've also tried all the locations downtown, and none of them even come close to the one in Mrakham; the other stores' cookies taste old and stale in comparison. I HIGHLY recommend checking them out the store in Markham at their website WWW.COOKIESANDFUDGE.COM, go try their cookies, then try out their delivery service; i guarantee you'll have nothing bad to say about this store! GO MARKHAM!

I asked for Felix and Norton to deliver two bouquets of flowers on a certain day. I asked if it could be done before 4pm as the people (in differnet locations) both leave work by 4pm. "No problem" I was told.
At 3:45pm I called Eaton Centre where I had PERSONALLY placed the order the day before, concerned because they had not arrived. The clerk gave me the phone # of the manager who apparently was out on deliveries. When I spoke to the manager she was very unapologetic and stated that she was stuck in traffic. The cookies would "probably" be there by 5pm. I was furious and she kept repeating that if I wanted them there by a certain time I should have paid a surcharge and since I didn't they can't guarantee a delivery time.
Her compensation? 6 free cookies anytime I want to come pick them up. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN and warn others to just send flowers... or better yet edible arrangements, their stuff is amazing and ALWAYS on time. ediblearrangements
The cookies are not worth the stress, and the worst part is I can't even find an address to write a proper complaint letter too- apparently Mr. Felix and Mr. Norton don't give a damn about their customers.
From: Julie Moran on Jun-22-2007
My experience with Eaton Center tells me that they should have changed their old delivery company earlier but the customer service and care at the store level are still one of the best.
Here are my latest experiences. On April 18, I ordered 24stem cookies to be delivered on April 19 to my father for his 65th birthday. I placed that order by phone from the Eaton Center Queen Street location with Diana. By end of day April 19, my father had not yet received my delivery. Friday morning, I called the store to place a trace on my cookies. Diana assured me she would look into it. I received numerous update phone calls throughout the day to inform me that she was having great difficulties reaching the delivery company they used then. By 3:30pm, she had given up hope and gave me her manager’s email address in order to request a refund. By 4:00, I received a call from my dad to inform me that the cookies had just been delivered.
So, I was going to originally to write to complaint. Although I am disappointed that my delivery came a day later, I was extremely pleased with the care and concern Diana expressed and her follow through. Coming from a customer service background, I know it's not easy dealing with demanding customers and unreliable 3rd party delivery companies.
I am now, instead, writing to thank Eaton Center for hiring someone like Diana to work in the store. She was a pleasure to deal with and her response and sense of urgency and care she showed to me made me forget my disappointment and renewed my belief that good customer care is still valued by Felix and Norton.
This month, I have ordered two more deliveries for my friends’ birthday with Eaton Center. Diana mentioned that they have changed their delivery company after her store manager came back from vacation and the new delivery service they are having now is way better and way more reliable than the old one they had. My two friends were impressed by the delicious cookie stems and both of the deliveries I had this month were delivered on time. I will for sure continue to deal with Eaton Center for my delivery orders.
Cheers,
Julie Moran

Well based on Mishi's comments, it was the store manager who was out on delivery and not a courier company. So it is still uncertain whether they actually hired a new courier company. They probably just smartened up since they were having problems satisfying their customers.
To Julie, I guess that was good that Diana was following up on your delivery but that is still totally unacceptable that it would arrive a day late. I hope they compensated you somehow - either refund the cost of the delivery or free cookies.
I personally have tried all the Monsieur Felix & Mr. Norton locations around the GTA and I have to say that the Markham location is the best. They have very friendly staff and have the biggest variety of gift items. None of the stores even come close to the Markham location. Give them a try - they're at the corner of Warden/Hwy 7 inside the plaza.

as good as all the other locations are, the Bloor St. one was by far the best one of them all!!! the customer service and the quality of the product were outstanding. The store will be sorely missed!

From: Jane on Feb-06-2008
If you like to eat dayolds then visit The Eaton Centre store. They sell dayolds as fresh cookies. Same with the Bloor Store. These comments that people have submitting are made up by the owners of the Eaton Centre/Bloor Store. If the Bloor store is so good as so many people have been raving about, then why have they closed down?
Every Felix & Norton store in the GTA are different - the Eaton Centre store is not the only one who serves Toronto. That's false advertising.
From: Jennifer on Feb-17-2008
I am a customer with bloor and eaton center locations for more than five years. bloor sells dayold cookie, eaton center doesn't. if you drop by eaton center store you will know why. eaton center store SAMPLES out all their day old cookies to passing by traffic every day during the rush hours to attract customer because they are located in the mall and they don't mind to give out day old cookies for free which I really appreciate and respect. Eaton center always sell out cookies faster than other locations so I am lucky if I can get hold on my favoriate cookie (caramelt) when I visit. By far, I still think they are the best cookie store in Toronto and if you enjoy the cookies you know what i am talking about. These are the best cookies and they are "addictive". Disclaimer, I am a loyal customer and not associate with either of the store owners.

I think the store at 8601 Warden Avenue in Markham (Warden/Hwy 7) is much better. The location is bigger, they offer a MUCH wider variety of gift items, staff is MUCH friendlier, and their cookies really are baked fresh each day!

Wow, based on the more recent reviews of the Eaton Centre store, once again these comments are MADE UP by Helen herself. She tells her customers that she's the only store in the Toronto area when there is one in Markham that is MUCH better. Seeing how Promenade location closed down, Yonge/Steeles, and Bloor store gone, Helen is the next one out the door.
Just try the Markham store one time and it'll blow her out of the water any day. And what's this about being voted #1 Cookie Store in Toronto? Lies, lies, and more lies.

I'd have to say Toronto Eaton Centre Monsieur Felix and Mr. Norton cookies taste good. However customer service is another issue. I have seen the manager been extremely rude to customers on the phone. She yelled at the phone to a customers and she does this in front of me, while I was looking to buy some cookies... Just terrible...
I would still go buy cookies once in a while though, since Markham location is out of reach for me. Today I intended to visit the Eaton Centre location to only find that it closed down... Anyone know if the location moved?
From: Lynn on Jan-19-2010
I am a regular and big fan for these delicious cookies, last time I visit the store the owner advise me that they are moving the store back to yonge and bloor area. She said it will take a few weeks for setting up the new place and will be ready for business early february for the Velantine's Day. So don't worry, we will keep our favorite cookie connections in downtown toronto.

To Keri who commented that the manager (Helen) yells at her customers on the phone. Not surprised at all. Like I mentioned before, there is no way she is getting so many positive reviews. I've met her before and she is a complete door knob.

I ordered these cookies for my husband for our anniversary, it was supposed to be a surprise that would arrive at his office at a reasonable hour. I have never tried these cookies but they looked good and I thought let's try it. Am I ever disappointed. My husband called me at 4:00 today to tell me that he is leaving work early so that we can celebrate our anniversary. I told him, "isn't there anything there YET?" He said, no.. I said, "well darling, you have to wait til it arrives". He really wanted to come home so we can go for dinner. His train ride is an hour long, so he was eager to get going. He kept calling me every 5 mins to tell me there is still nothing there and can I cancel. How devastating for me! I called the lady at 4:40 and she said the delivery guy is "on his way". It is now after 5:00 pm, my husband's office is locked up for the day, the guy still isn't there but called my husband to say he will be there "soon".. My husband has missed his regular train and now has to wait until the 5:30 train.. so our dinner will be late rather than early. I am really disappointed and this "Monsieur Felix" is garbage in my books. If you want your special day ruined, go for it.
