Parden Fruit Parlour serves delicious
sandwiches (try the avocado-smoked
salmon, on lightly toasted bread!) but the highlight
is an amazing array of fruit-based desserts.
The key here is that everything is freshly
made from
scratch, from first quality ingredients and
fresh fruit.
Our favourite is the fresh fruit pudding
(pictured below) - a serving of vanilla or tea
creme caramel (baked custard), a
scoop of vanilla ice-cream, a dollop of
freshly whipped cream, and no less then 10 kinds
of fresh fruit (we
counted: watermelon, melon, longkong,
sugar apple, pomelo, orange, pomegranate,
papaya,
lychee, dragonfruit). It's nothing short of
heaven in a plate.
Parden also makes a delicious cheesecake,
optionally served with an assortment of
fresh fruit and
whipped cream. Other desserts include fruit-
themed parfaits (the mangosteen parfait, in
season, is
made with fresh mangosteen, mangosteen
ice-cream, yogurt ice-cream, whipped cream,
and coconut
gelly - a very special treat. Specials vary
according to the season so that only the
freshest, tastiest
fruit are used.
Don't forget to have your sandwich or
dessert with a fresh fruit juice (rare juices
like pomelo, melon,
pomegranate or starfruit are on the menu,
depending on the season).
