Dominque Ansel doesnt just make cronuts
(a croissant-doughnut hybrid made with
deep-fried croissant dough),
but a whole assortment of first-class French
Our favourite are the fruit-tarts: fresh fruit
on a deliciously flaky crust and perfectly
smooth pastry cream. The
grape tart also has a grape jelly disc -
excellent combination of flavours and
Dominique Ansel has one more specialty -
mini madeleines that are baked to order,
and served hot straight out
of the oven - very unique and special.
Don't miss the "canneles" either - made of
crepe batter baked at a very high
temperature, they melt in your
mouth and are slightly crispy at the same
time. And they're easy to carry - they come
in beautiful boxes, a
perfect gift for a foodie.
