Art Square Gallery Café

Art Square Café Gallery is quite the trendy spot.
The concept: an airy art gallery with a café that
serves crêpes in the back. There is even a nice
patio. Toppings are definitely mediterranean, with
a twist, and come on a white or on a traditional
brown crêpe (with buckwheat, or "sarazin", just
like in Bretagne!). Prices are reasonable
(from around $6 to $12, depending on how
extravagant the toppings). Some dessert crêpes
come with a delicious dark chocolate sauce, and/or
with huge scoop of ice-cream that drowns both
flavours and textures.
The small
selection of truffles is original to say the
least. Made using 100% dark chocolate as a base,
and featuring saffron, citrus zests, tea, and
vodka, these truffles are definitely worth a shot,
though the most extravagant ones may require a bit
of an acquired taste to some.

The most original and delicious crepes and sweet items you will find. A touch of Europe in downtown Toronto and the tastiest coffee I've had in some time.
