Chamlong's restaurant is a vegetarian
Bangkok, possibly the best vegetarian restaurant
in the city. The variety, the quality, the
the freshness of the dishes are
so are their prices (one dish costs 10-20
eating more than 50 B worth of food if
-- though tempting). The restaurant is
like a food court, each stand offering its own
specialty (you can also see the food being
prepared right in front of you).
Thai, Chinese and even some Western food
(hamburgers, pasta) is available.
Many traditional Thai dishes are offered in
vegetarian version (try for example
curry in banana leaves, or the "chicken"
or the pat Thai). A large assortment of
buns is also on display, as well as many
kinds of dumplings, stews, noodle dishes,
soups, apetizers, tofu dishes, mock meats,
desserts, ice-cream made with Thai fruits,
herbal drinks and fresh fruit juice.
The restaurant can be a little hard to find...
take the subway to the Kamphaeng Phaet
use the exit number 1 across the MOF farmer's
